Someone has died in a road crash and support guide
A sudden death is devastating for children and their families. There is no time to prepare or say goodbye. Death caused by a road crash is violent and horrific. In many cases the person who dies is a parent, brother or sister, leaving behind a bereft family. The Amy & Tom project is a charitable initiative by Brake, helping suddenly bereaved children of all ages through their terrible shock and grief and helping them to recover and lead full and happy lives.
The book comes with an accompanying guide aimed at parents, carers or support professionals, giving guidance on using the book to talk to and support a bereaved child.
If you have been personally bereaved through a road crash, please call the Brake helpline on 0808 8000 401 and ask for a free copy.
