Ten circular walks around Bovey Tracey
A selection of beautiful and diverse walks, with the rivers, woodland, farmland, old drovers’ tracks and country lanes.
Chris and Carolyn Laycock had always said they would like to write a book of walks in memory of their son Peter, and Spring 2020 seemed the ideal time during lockdown with the coronavirus pandemic.
“As we were only able to exercise from our home, we took to walking in different directions from our house. It became a challenge to try different circular routes each day using the Explorer 110 and Dartmoor Outdoor Leisure 28 O.S. maps. All the walks have been tried, tested and refined by a number of our good friends who have also enjoyed exploring new areas of their local town and surrounds.”
In Memory of Peter Laycock 1987 – 2004
Peter died as a car passenger in a road crash age 17. He loved explore the lanes and footpaths of his home town of Bovey Tracey.
